I just produced a mini documentary on YouTube. Nobody has watched it. Nobody except me, even though it’s in the public domain. That does not matter. Because I just wanted to see if I could do it. I will be publishing on amazon too, and I may start a photography business that specializes in “fun” photos.
I believe our purpose in life is to create. Your age does not matter. You are never too young or too old to be creative.
The world needs more interesting things to look at and experience, to get away from the chaos and negativity.
I also find it fascinating that if you allow your creative juices to flow, you can defeat depression, anxiety and fear.
It matters not if anyone pays attention.
Self therapy is the major goal.
But should others see your creations and enjoy them, all the better. If others love what you do and are willing to pay for your writing, paintings, photography, poems, videos, podcasts, woodwork, bird houses, jewelry, reports and ramblings – all the better.
Please do not be shy. Reveal yourself to the world. Let us experience what you have to offer.
I have a friend who does abstract paintings. They are bizarre, different – sometimes even disturbing. He does not care if anyone looks at them, likes them or buys them. He needs to express himself. As it turns out, they make people feel something. And everyone will feel something different.
Have you lost direction in your life? Are you feeling complacent? Do you feel an inner angst that will not go away?
So many of us, myself included, have a yearning to make a difference – to have some value in this ridiculous place called earth. There is so much sadness out there, confusion, jealousy, anger. So much negativity.
All reasons to create.

One question…why didn’t you put a link to the YouTube podcast in this post?

Cory, I really like this post and think it’s one of your best! Very thought provoking – especially in the “place” I’m currently living.
